Quote of the Day 87

Peanut looks during dinner and announces
"There's my mommy, that's my daddy, that's my brother"

Mamma pointing at the end of the table "Who's that?"

Peanut "That's my RyeRye!!"

Rye Help's Himself

Rye has figured out those chairs are good for more then just climbing up on the kitchen table. They also help you raid stuff by the sink on the other side of the kitchen.

And once your up there its target rich environment. There is the tap, the spayers, the dishes in the sink (clean and dirty), the face clothes, and best of all the fruit bowl. Never hurts to help yourself to a snack when no one is looking or helping you!

Mmmm that is some good pear. Now the odd thing is when you grab fruit for work only to find little bites out of it later in the day. Good thing we don't have a rodent problem or I wouldn't be sure the fruit is good!

Happily Awaiting ...

... the pie!

See Dada its ready! Much more conventional then the infamous pie!

Dadda Look at Me!

Peanut isn't feeling well tonight. She actually asked to go to bed, early. That has never, ever, ever happened. Here are some pics grabbed on the weekend as she peaked out the playhouse to get my attention. We were using the playhouse wheel to chase the pirate piggies from Dora.

You Know Your Tired When ...

you take a break from eating.

It was the late in the day.

That Reminds Me ...

It's been a little windy around our parts and that has cause a bunch of power outages. Some people are not happy with how we're getting updates on the progress to restore power.

In the spirit of our, possible, new rulers in the NDP. I would like to suggest everyone to get used this problem if we "go green" with our power supply.

From a few months ago: Lawrence Solomon: Don’t count on constant electricity under renewable energy, says UK electricity CEO

Electricity consumers in the UK will need to get used to flicking the switch and finding the power unavailable, according to Steve Holliday, CEO of National Grid, the country’s grid operator. Because of a six-fold increase in wind generation, which won’t be available when the wind doesn’t blow, “The grid is going to be a very different system in 2020, 2030,” he told BBC’s Radio 4. “We keep thinking that we want it to be there and provide power when we need it. It’s going to be much smarter than that.

Maybe your OK with that.

Re "A Visit to the Sugar Bush" I grabbed a small sequence of photos. The kids were hanging out in the little garden. They were looking cute at the end the of the pond.

Then Mama called out "I'm going to get you!"

Off they went with Mama hot in pursuit.

Around the bridge they ran to get away

BigE was faster a foot.

BigE proving that you don't have to out run the wild animal just someone else in your group. Poor Peanut lost. To be fair those boots probably slowed here down quite a bit.

A Visit to the Sugar Bush

On the weekend we visited the Sugar bush as part of Mama's birthday weekend. The kids had a pretty good time with an egg hunt, farm animals, and a giant breakfast.

On the way out we checked out the "Big Chair". The kids were quite pleased by it.

Some egg hunting pictures working from oldest to youngest.

Yeah Rye wasn't getting very far but he had fun chewing on the eggs.

The kids visited the animals in the barn

Here is Peanut checking out the rabbits. She was getting a boost up by my foot.

BigE and the cattle.

The gang out by the horses. Peanut with her "Do you see this? Hi horsey!!" look
