Peanut's Dancing

I missed a bunch of great Peanut dancing performances during BigE's recent hockey tournament. This is one little nugget to give you a glimpse of how much she enjoyed the music between the whitles.

BigE's First Hockey Tournament

BigE's first hockey tournament was the 67's Experience. They did a great job of giving the kids a sense of larger league play. Goals were announced over the PA and they had these great intros where the lights were dimmed and each player was announced by name.

but only when I get to steal them from my sister's bowl. When you give them to me I'm not really that interested.

Happy 7th Birthday

BigE is the big 7 today. He awoke to find an obviously wrapped composite hockey stick from us. However there still seems to be nothing like unwrapping stuff.

Boy is old Rye Rye getting mobile. And there really does appear to be a certain amount of pride in his accomplishment.
And no comments about letting my child lose into the enterntainment center. He's not watching TV and getting exercise. Heck he's getting exercise on the TV. This is a 10 out 10 activity

The New Bunny

Using the gift from Nanny we headed to Build-a-Bear to make Peanut a new bear. We weren't sure if she would like it but as soon as she saw the place she was excited. That was until the stuffing machine turned on and scarred her a bit. But she made it through.

And now we have Hop the new bunny. Hop made it into the crib last night so I think we have a winner. Here's the pick from the morning snuggle:

How to eat Party Cake

Here is Peanut and her birthday cake. A proper demonstration of how to go for the cake

After that was stopped here was the revised cake eating on a small piece

For the record she did use a fork to finish off the icing on her piece. That was before starting to scrap the icing off the rest of the cake.

Peanut is Two!

Peanut turned two today. So we got up and did the early present thing. From mama and dadda she got a beed necklace and bracelet


Here she is playing with her new food, pots and pans from Auntie Karen in the kitchen. She was very pleased to find these.


After some juice we finished off the morning with some tea.


I don't have a picture but now we need to sit down and read the books from Nanny.

Monkey Sleeps Over

Unlike the WB I managed to only grab one photo of the kids chomping on pop corn during Monkey's recent sleep over.
There are no other pictures. What will we fill this post with? Hmmm. They were were watching Toy Story (first one). The small bowl was a cheesy popcorn with Parmesan cheese. Which BigE does not like. Hence the segregated bowls.

Also BigE want's everyone to know that they stayed up late. Monkey even later as we adjusted the sleeping arrangement to closer match his home. I'm sure BigE has done the same

Little Mama

As a side note that little blue bandage was a fashion accessory. Fortunately that only lasted a few days.

But slowly we've been making progress. Mama has been taking the kids a bunch of times since we've had all this heat.

This was before the Canada Day Soccer field was built. But we still enjoyed the backyard soccer.

Softball season finished last week. It's actually a rather short season. I guess they keep it away from vacations and soccer. Here is BigE's second last at bad.

Da' Happy Baby

After "Why No Pics with Little Man" I felt bad that you might get the impression that all he does is cry. When in fact he's the quietest and happiest of the lot. At least when with Mamam. I almost caught a good smile on this pic. Turned out I missed it by a fraction of a second and it was a little blurry. But blurry seems to be ok for blogs and the web so I'm showing it anyways.

And finally not to be ignored in the post sequence is a BigE pic with his front tooth out. It doesn't seem to be slowing him down eating too much.

BigE's at 5 pitch softball and one of his teammate's family has brought their new little dog. The kind that can travel in a plaid travel kennel that is barely bigger then a purse. Picture 2lbs of hair. BigE took one look at the dog in the kennel and asked:

"Is that a real dog?"

No son it's not!

The Moe Hawk

A few Friday's ago it was crazy hair day at school. BigE decided he wanted that faux hawk that the cousins had. It was time for a hair cut anyways so what the heck said Mama.


The side shot gives a good view. We tried using orange Kool-aid to dye the hair. It looked good with the dye in. But after rinsing with a little water much of the colour ran out.



BigE wore the faux around all weekend. I think he was liking the crazy hair. As long as he get's it out of his system before he get's older!

The Goalie

BigE had his friend over for a play date a while ago. The friend brought his goalie gear for some hockey time. Peanut couldn't resist the helmet.

I snuck in to check on BigE tonight. He's been so enamored by the inflating camping mattresses he's been sleeping on them inside. Tonight I caught him with Sydney Bear his favorite stuffed animal.

An update on Poor Peanut the bruise is starting to fade. Those that read the blog, as opposed to those who didn't, were curious what she looked like. Here's a nice shot of the still happy little girl with a smudge on her cheek.If it was lower it could almost be from a chocolate.

Re Almost Done the second last paper is ready to go. Ready is a declining standard right now. One to go. This is a group one so it will take time. However its got to be done by the 23rd.
